Slow down, you move too fast

You got to make the moment last.

The juxtaposition of the rising sun
and this window will not provide
spectacular skyscapes for much longer.

I see I'm a little earlier than last year,
but even so,
can it really be time to make marmalade again?

I've come to watch your flowers growing.

These hyacinths will be up and out before we know it.

And the children?

Just passing through.

  1. Nice little blast from the past there, Lucille! I knew most of the words....

    Simon and Garfunkel - how we loved them; did we notice at the time that they wore clothes that could have been bought by their dads?

  3. Certainly is a lovely blast from the past ...I used to listen to them all the time.
    My children came and went and came back again but not to stay. They have moved on and I felt it but I am happy with where they are at, happy they are both happy.

  4. Time moves on and you've captured it beautifully.

    {The deer are white-tailed deer. The photos were taken through the bedroom window. It's probably about 40 feet away on the edge of the woods.}

  5. Fantastic picture of the hyacinths on that table. The effect of the light on the compost, cats and woodwork is amazing.
