The Long and Winding Road

Out to the country on our house quest again.
Feeling increasingly like Goldilocks,
we've seen,
too cramped, too noisy, too musty,
too wrecked, too overlooked,
too gardenless.
I fear that 'just right' may not be achievable
and we must start to whittle away at our priorities.

  1. Oh dear, I don't envy you one bit. At least you are getting out to look; doing it online and then comparing the estate agents' fantastical description against the Google street view reality is so depressing.....

Don't whittle your priorities down too savagely though!

  2. House hunting in the country? I like how you describe the challenges. I hope you find an ideal place.

  3. What a fantastic picture!
You have patently mistressed the new camera, Lucille.

  4. In my experience of moving and house buying there isn't a 'just right' but with compromise you can get pretty close to 'spot on!'
I love the photo of the road by the way.

  5. Thank you for your encouraging comments about the camera. It is still more in charge of me than the other way round but I'm glad if you can detect a difference in the picture quality.
