Forward March*

I took very few pictures of my visit to Two Temple Place
- my phone makes a loud shuttery kerlik noise
which cannot be turned off because it's Japanese
and it's The Law.
However, I had to have a record of these wonderful windows.
I would ask for them as my luxury
in case I was cast away on a barren island.

I was mightily impressed by the attention to detail in the Ladies.
Half a pipe was grained to match the panelling.
For a more erudite and complete report of the exhibition
Cotton to Goldcurrently on show,
you can do no better than to visit Katherine here.

*The clocks go forward tonight.
This is the only way I can remember it.
Baby B. who is currently staying with us
will wake around 6 am tomorrow.

Could do better

This is a mossy wall, blossoming.

I wish I had more to offer
but the rest of the pictures from the weekend
were 28 shots of the inside of my coat pocket,

this little critter,

and sand.

As quiet as

Looking for a quiet spot,

in a noisy town centre

to wheel grand-daughter

because she needed a nap,

I chanced upon

this place

of peaceful repose.

Pond safety

This is our pond.

I wish it looked like this.
But it looks like this:

exposed black liner,
and duck weed.

However Tall Cat drew my attention to
something of interest afoot
in the pond this morning.

The frogs are back,
so once again we have left it too late to repair the leaks,
or fill it in altogether.

With a visiting grand-daughter,
who will be crawling before we know it,
filling it in is the safest option.

We'll concentrate our efforts on the bird feeders instead.

Blues and greens

Soaking up the blues and greens.

I was told that
Blue and green should never be seen
except upon an Irish Queen.
But now it seems my informant was wrong,
it was red and green for that rule.
Without another colour in between,
or except in the washing machine,
is what I should have been abiding by
for blue and green.
Oh and never wear brown in town.
Or brown and blue will never do.

We love amusing ourselves with rules that rhyme.

I notice I am wearing green and blue striped socks

If you see the sky is blue,
Time to break a rule or two.

Snowdrops and hazel

Nothing to say just now.
Too much internal chatter going on.
