Nothing new

This vibrant textile design is an astonishing
300 years old.
It is by James Leman.
I must go back to the V&A to find out more about him.
And since his design is so handily marked in squares
I am seriously considering transferring it to the new white wall.

So that would answer your question JofIndia
about what I intend to hang there behind the jugs.

  2. It's amazingly modern-looking!

You have lilac out already? Goodness - mine are still in bud - mind you, it's chilly here at the moment.

  4. What a great print. I would never guess it was that old.

Are there others from that period that look that modern?

  7. Can always rely on your exquisite eye for colour and beauty in the unnoticed detail.

Incidentally, I am thinking of compiling a new language, built on the interesting quasi-words offered by your comments verification scheme. Today's choice was "pellork". Any suggestions for a definition?
