Summer returned today.
Couples young and old strolled arm in arm in the park.
Friends went for a run, then for their customary cappuccinos,
(one with chocolate, one without please)
then they sat on a bench that marked the passing of someone's days with a fond inscription and talked,
moved to another shadier bench as the sun grew hotter
and talked some more,
then wondered if they might stay in the park for lunch too.
There didn't seem to be a rule that forbade it.
So they did.
