Another speck on the horizon

Spread over three continents as we are today,
sons nearly 7000 miles apart,
I note that the elastic has never been stretched further.

Luckily I have plenty of silly pictures to peruse
until everyone is back down on British terra firma
where they belong.

  1. It took a minute or two for this photo to "register" and then it made me laugh out loud. Congratulations, I got up all grumpy today and you have lifted my mood. The sun is now peeping out too, so the only way is up.....................................

  2. I feel for you- today our children can fly so far. But what adventures they will have!

  3. Aw - sometimes when we are far apart we make more of an effort to stay in touch. Its difficult when family are far away but reunions are all the more sweeter.

  5. A very.... uplifting... photo, Lucille, thank you.

Not nice when children are so far away, no matter how we support them in their ventures. My son's partner is Mexican, and there are certain pressures - I shall say no more, but they fill me with dread.

  8. There should be a law about it, that's what I think. (Though you may be more stalwart than I.)
