Sweet orange pastry for the mince pies -
Josceline Dimblebey's recipe every year.
Red cabbage and apple with sausages and mash.
Winter walks of course
even if we nearly forget to get out in time.
A winter surprise.
But it has been very warm.
Advent windows,
(one of them mine).
The tree at last despite a hissy fit with the lights.
A shining light on these darkling days.
Gorgeous post. I did wonder if we were having a syncronized hissy fit re Christmas lights (without knowing it). Mine drove me (almost mad). I could cope with that but not the unhelpful suggestions from behind the newspapers...........................
ReplyDeleteYour little grandchild looks absolutely beautiful Lucille. Happy Christmas.
Happy Christmas dear Lucille and all the best to you and yours for 2015.
ReplyDeleteI love the advent windows. I don't recall ever seeing one of these in a Sydney house. We tend to favour crass displays of blinking lights on the roof and fences, with more=better being the main philosophy
ReplyDeleteHave yourself a merry little Christmas Lucille.
ReplyDeleteA very happy Christmas to you and your family ... especially the littlest one !
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, (as we say over here), Lucille! I've certainly enjoyed getting to *know* you through your beautiful words and pictures.
ReplyDeleteRie
That first picture--!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe ordered and read Holly and Ivy for the first time ever this year. It has prompted Annie to ask for her own "Holly" for Christmas. I wonder what tomorrow morning will bring....
Merry Christmas!
Gorgeous images, the last one being the best of course.
