Hasty but heartfelt

  4. Warmest wishes for a great year ahead, Lucille. Aren't Exmoor ponies lovely? So stout and comfortably built, and unlike every other horse I've encountered, don't look as though they really want to bite you.

    1. Are they the ones that Thelwell based his cartoons on? These were completely benevolent. I am usually rather wary of horses.

    2. Don't know, but seems very likely! They seem very placid here too.

  6. And where would my own internet offerings be without Lucille to keep my feet firmly pinned to the ground, I often say to myself. May 2015 bring you all good things, dear Lucille.

  8. As usual, all your pictures are beautiful and evocative. I especially like the one with the light on the water but as an Australian who has never traveled, I can't believe that this is the sun because it seems too weak (but it's too big & bright for the moon). I wonder whether this is this the best it can offer you at this time of the year, or if there is a dense fog or diffuse cloud taking away the intensity. In any case, the intense reflection on the water from the shore to the horizon seems like a mystical pathway into the future.I look forward to following you down that path into 2015 and well beyond.

    1. Yes this is about as good as it gets, with a little camera flare but no fancy filters at this time of year. I'm grateful for your thoughtful appreciation.
