And if you have been: thanks for reading as this blog enters its seventh year and I have a little think about whither next. * The last poem in Now We Are Six by A.A. Milne.
Lucille, how I do love that poem from one of my favorite childhood books.
How glad I am to have had the pleasure of visiting here for some time now. I'm looking forward to your seventh year!
Thanks also for those splendid photographs from Sissinghurst...a place I have yet to visit in person. I smiled to see the moat's the same color as our Central Park lake was very recently.
Seven years is a looooong time - well done for keeping at it - I have been reading longer than I have been commenting - but always enjoy your quirky posts - you look a little sad in the picture - I hope this doesn't mean the end of Useful or Beautiful!
Dear Lucille Thank you for all that you have shared with us over the past six years. Through you I have been to Japan and latterly to the seaside but it had been the glimpses of light in your beautiful home that have been the most delightful, small rainbows in everyday life.
I do hope this is not The End. I can sympathise with the need to evolve but you are creating a record of who you are which your family will always treasure.
Happy Blogaversary! Such a sweet celebration!:) The seventh year is very important and special... I wish you many happy occasions and wonderful experiences to maintain your desire for blogging!
Reading, and enjoying and appreciating. I always adored that poem ... in fact I always say I'm six plus a lot of ones. Here's hoping your lovely blog will be acquire some ones too.
More of the same, please! Your blog is one of my favourites. Happy blogday. I think mine must be over 8 now. 8 and a half. My life has changed a lot since I started and not entirely for the better. Ah well. The grandchildren are a great joy.
A.A. Milne was a favourite of my dad's and is still a favourite of mine and Mom's. Our favourite was always 'James, James, Morrison, Morrison, Weatherby George Dupree. Took great care of his mother, though he was only three.'
Please keep up the blog. It is always sunshine on a cloudy day. However, I want you to be happy and satisfied!
Thank you for a blog which is always a pleasure to visit!
