Slip sliding

Testing the iphone camera on one of Great Dixter's cats.
Not at all bad.
I certainly haven't missed the weight of my regular camera
swinging at my side, or its annoying lens cap popping off all the time.
The phone needs a robust case though. I'm terrified of dropping it.
Especially if I'm going to make a habit of spraining my ankle
on tricky cliff walk paths.
The small stones underfoot are like ball bearings.
I got off lightly this time;
ibuprofen and an ice pack have sorted me out.

  1. Ouch! Sprained ankles are such a nuisance. The only possible benefit is the valid excuse to sit on the sofa and watch your favourite films.

  2. Hoping your ankle is feeling much better.

    It's going to be fun seeing what wonderful photographs you'll be taking with that phone. I have friends who keep urging me to get such a device, and I keep saying...eventually. Thank you for the additional encouragement!

    1. I haven't used it as a phone yet or for email, or surfing!

  4. Goodness, take care. My ankle is still recovering from a massive destabilising sprain sustained three years ago just a week after a minor sprain such as you describe. Of course I forgot to take account of weakness resulting from the first injury and asked too much of myself too soon.

    Have fun with the camera. I'm at the stage where I'm starting to buy additional kit for mine, such as remote shutter buttons and mini tripods!
