I think it close to miraculous
that I walked along a beach
as empty as this,
scattered with shells,
sculpted by the outflowing tide,
lit by the daily drama
of a westward slipping sun, |
less than two hours' drive from London.
Empty.
What an exceptional series of photos.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, so evocative of the typical English beach.
ReplyDeleteMiraculous indeed! Beautiful photos. Textures and shapes you want to reach out and touch.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. If only the shells were not empty...
ReplyDeleteThat does seem like a miracle. Thanks for your picture/word poem today :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I just did exactly the same, with the Mr and five whippets, on a totally empty beach in North Wales. We had it entirely to ourselves. Wonderful, wasn't it :D

I'm always surprised how you can still find empty beaches, even in the middle of summer. I love your photographs and words, I could almost smell the sea and sunshine! Jane xx
ReplyDeleteI just found you from the beloved Annie of knitsofacto. I believe that I have been blessed twelve times twelve to have found you.
ReplyDeleteOh, my. What goodness.
