I'm sure there was a post here on Wednesday about our fox.
I was wondering aloud to anyone who cared to listen,
whether she had had a litter and was trying to wean them,
or whether she had eschewed parenthood altogether
and opted for a life of snoozing and sunbathing.
Since then, Blogger has been off duty
and when it came back from its little break
it had lost the plot.
It has rather put me off my stride.
I can't belieive it's a year since you posted about the cubs! Hope you (she has )have more
ReplyDeleteThere is a little fox that lurks around the manor. Once in a while I see him prancing toward the house at twilight, like he owns the place. Wonderful pics.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lucille! I've seen lots of coyotes here in Texas, but never a fox. And the coyotes would never come in close enough to set us see the babies.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is always a bright point in my day.
A kindred spirit?
ReplyDeleteNow that your pups are weaned, do you find yourself staying away from the den for longer periods...?!
What a beautiful shot..... again!
ReplyDeleteOr maybe all that nursing is exhausting her (I've felt that way before :)
ReplyDeleteThere was. I read it. That explains why posts have gone missing from other blogs as well!
ReplyDeleteBad Blogger stole your fox! Now I must go and scrutinise my own blog for signs of wanton light-fingeredness. I'm glad you put her back on though....
ReplyDeleteI think she is taking a "mental health" break from the pressures of motherhood!
ReplyDeleteThere was a post! Very much enjoyed here in Texas, where we see, but mostly hear, many coyotes, but no foxes. Thanks, Lucille, for sharing the flora and fauna from your part of our planet.
ReplyDeleteShe looks a lot like me when I was a nursing mom :)
