I dug this up in the garden.
Isn't it sweet?
Measuring just 6cm in diameter,
probably a little souvenir pin tray from the 1950s.
It is so Parisian,
and such a charming thing to find when one is being
scratched by brambles and stung by nettles.
Lucille, what a buried treasure you have found! Worth those brambles, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to let you know that I admire your clever reaction to the post-label-removal situation. The sweater looks grand!
And finally, I am just about all recovered now, and yes, I did give the St Patrick's Day parade a miss...amongst other reasons, the weather was freezing. xo
Love it , late '50s sophistication ... Paris seemed so far away .
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely, treasure indeed. There is a story there I think... CJ xx
ReplyDeletehmm I wonder why someone buried it?
ReplyDeleteI think that part of the garden is an old rubbish dump. We turn up lots of old bottles and broken china there. Perhaps someone was Kondoing!
ReplyDeleteIn Porterville we found a very old 'German Empire' medicine bottle, and then we found the glass stopper to fit!
DeleteWhat a fun find! What will you do with it Lucille? It would be the perfect size for a doll's tea party...
ReplyDeleteThat's a very sweet little find!
ReplyDeleteLovely! There's a story there...
ReplyDeleteSweet balm to ease the stings and scratches.
