Cooking on gas

It took two hours
and a hefty fee,

to change a 3 amp fuse -
which I provided.
But I am very grateful to the skinny
and much tattooed young man
who wrestled the beast out of its lair,
disemboweled it,
diagnosed the problem
and reassembled it,
without damaging either tiles or floor.

Let the roasting, baking and grilling re-commence.

  1. Lucille, let's raise a toast to skinny tattooed fellows who know how to fix things.

Isn't there something about a three amp fuse in an old Stones tune? Perhaps Satisfaction?

    1. A better title would have been, 'It's alright now, in fact it's a gas. Jumping Jack Flash it's a gas gas gas.'
Still looking for a three amp fuse.

    2. Ah ha. They blew a 50 amp fuse in, 'You can't always get what you want.' Isn't the internet wonderful?

    3. About three seconds after I clicked Publish, I heard 50 amps in my head! And laughed again.

Yes, the internet is grand. xo

  2. Good man! You've made me smile, it's such a fantastic feeling when something goes right isn't it. No boiled eggs for Christmas lunch after all. CJ xx

  6. I wonder if your olfactory memory will associate the smell of roasting goose with 3 amp fuses forevermore...

  8. It's your fault, Lucille. My oven is broken too. My husband broke it today.

  10. Such a very Christmassy drama! These things never happen when you're loafing around the house with not quite enough to do..... Glad it worked out well in the end.
