I am being tested.
No sooner was the cooker fixed than the digibox
went on the blink and failed to record the Strictly final.
Also.
I had lovingly inputted all the programmes we would want to watch
over Christmas using my bumper legendary Christmas Radio Times
and it has folded its arms and said,
'No. You will watch live or not at all
like in the Olden Days.'
Also.
I have a cold.
The sort that might not loosen its foul grip in time for Friday.
Also.
Grrr and Waaa indeed! Hope all is well on the day..
ReplyDeleteYes, daffodils blooming here too, as are my wallflowers and roses...
ReplyDeleteGet well soon and I hope nothing else fails.
Oh well , an Olde Worlde Christmas might be fun ? You'll all just have to decide when's best to dash out to the kitchen to build your own monstrous left-over sandwich in the evening ...
ReplyDeleteBlame the weather. T'ain't natural.
ReplyDeleteOh dear - they say these things come in threes. Daffodils - goodness me. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that is not good at all. I do hope your cold passes very soon. Otherwise you will have to retire to the sofa and be waited on hand, foot and finger. Daffodils - it's madness! Sorry about the digibox. I bought an expensive DVD player years ago that could record programmes on it, but to this day I haven't worked out how to do it, so we can never record anything. Sigh. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteYour children can sing lieder to you while you recline on the chaise longue. Sounds idyllic to me.
ReplyDeletedaffodils are beautiful, but disconcerting.
ReplyDeleteHope you make an amazing recovery, for Friday!
Ooh, the worst is getting a cold because that makes everything else more irritating. I've enjoyed your writing which is spare yet evocative and also often very funny. Get well soon, and tell that to the appliances. Also.
ReplyDeleteHopefully that is your three? But it's pants all the same. I had high hopes for a proper winter after the rubbish summer........
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
Hope you will feel better in time for Friday, Lucille, and have a Happy Christmas whatever!
ReplyDeleteAlas. Our granddaughter has a horrible cold involving yellow bubbles emerging from her minute nose, and barking like a seal emerging from her little chest. Pants indeed. Hope you both improve soon.
ReplyDeleteGrr to the cold and to the uncooperative appliance. Hope you feel much better by Friday Lucille. Have a very happy Christmas. Sam x
ReplyDeleteLucille, hoping you will be over that cold's worst days before the 25th. Or ever better, before the 24th. Roses in bloom all over NYC. I've been too busy this past week for a walk in Central Park but would not be surprised to find some spring bulb thinking spring has arrived.
ReplyDeleteVery strangely warm.
Sending more Happy Christmas wishes you way. xo
Too many colds about. I blame the weather. Daffodils in December makes me wonder about April ... Hope your Christmas is merry and bright.
