Wedding

Our son's wedding day, October 13th,
passed in the happiest of blurs.

For once I didn't have a proper camera with me,
but every moment is clearly etched on my personal memory card
and I will never forget it.

He has the most beautiful wife
and now we have a delightful daughter-in-law.

    1. Thank you. Luckily the blur was all camera related, I was too busy to finish a whole glass of anything!

    1. Thank you Mise. Her dress for the blessing was a beautiful vintage number too. I'll add a picture when I get one.

    1. Yes we had great fun collecting together the brooches and later the bouquet can be taken apart if she wants to wear them. She threw a fabric flower bouquet, not wishing to concuss anyone!

    1. Not deliberate, but quite effective in their own way Elaine. It was a bit of a dream.

  5. Love the blurred photos, love your happiness. Only remaining item: a shot of your outfit, even if blurred.

    1. I haven't seen one of me yet but as I took to the dance floor in it I'm sure someone will have a blurry red photo I can put up.

    1. It was perfect and all my anxiety was for nothing in the end. If only we could know that in advance.

  7. How wonderful! Wishing them joy in their new life together and joy to you to as you welcome your daughter in law into the family.

My own relationship with my parents in law is very precious to me but like anything worthwhile it takes time to grow.

    1. That's good to hear. Mothers in law get such a bad press.

    1. Very cleverly made by her mother using vintage brooches from both families and incorporating grandmothers' engagement rings.

  10. Thank you. Yes, I'm going to have to get used to that term. Les Dawson has a lot to answer for!
