Waiting to be real*

Big Bear introduces himself.

Miss Maggie Rabbit.
One of Alicia's kits.
Waiting to be real, like the Velveteen Rabbit.

  1. I love how adventurous Maggie is - she obviously loves the garden and climbing trees - is she for you to play with or your lovely new grandchild. I really must get a kit for myself.

  2. It will be a while before she is a suitable plaything for granddaughter, so I get to keep her for now. The kits are beautifully designed but beware the custom charges (out of Alicia's control). They do rather bump the cost up. I wish I had ordered two now.

  3. Am very tempted to buy one and keep it for ten years or so until a grandchild comes my way.

  4. That is gorgeous - you must be pleased! What a lovely present. My son and daughter-in-law had a reading from the Velveteen Rabbit at their recent wedding and I still well up when I read it. Am keeping a copy for any potential future grandchildren.

  7. I'd say that this little rabbit with chic boots is both useful and beautiful.

My childhood time didn't include that of The Velveteen Rabbit, but even so...from bookshop browsing, I have caught that Rabbit's magic.

    You've created a treasure. xo

  8. Alicia's Christmas tree ornament kits were lovely but this little rabbit ... and her boots ... are even better .

  9. She's beautiful. She is waiting until granddaughter is old enough to play with her. She is hoping that will be very soon by the looks of it :)
