The rainbows are back

It's like sighting the first snowdrop

or the returning swifts

but trickier.

All elements have to be perfectly present

for the rainbows to appear.

Vigilance is all
because in a blink,
in the merest downward glance
to remove a lens cap,

they dissolve.

  1. What a delightful distraction... like chasing wisps. We have a while to wait before we get to see rainbows in earnest... sigh. ♥

  4. Now isn't that a sight to lift the heart? Well done for capturing them so well - it really isn't easy!

  5. Lovely!

I don't know what's in the National Gallery but anything by Vermeer would get my vote.

You even took the time to make your rainbows word in color, nice touch.
