Shall we go for a walk?

Beach

Marsh

Kew botanical gardens.

Coastal heathland.

Estuary nature reserve.

And a memorial bench
with a plaque that simply read,
'Wish you were here.'

  1. The statues that drown as the tide rises?

So much embedded in those last four words.

  2. That was a lovely post Lucille, it has brightened a very dark and dismal day for me.

I do like the sentiment on the bench!

    1. I hope tomorrow is brighter for you. I liked it too. Better than the ones that claim a view for someone in particular and I notice that nowadays they often have rather sad bunches of dead flowers attached to them.

  3. I could wallow in these pictures all day Lucille... gorgeous. So much tranquility in that first one. And again a pang for the sea! I must do something about that...

  4. Windswept and brisk looking! I envy you … here it's as though someone's dropped a wet bathtowel on us.

  5. I was trying to work out where you live, but even I, with my poor geography of England, don't think that Kew's by the sea. Lovely photos. It's spring!
