I went for a routine appointment
and came out with high blood pressure.
Several attempts only succeeded in raising it further.
So this is my attempt to bring it down.
And if tranquil beach scenes don't do it,
then surely off-season Sissinghurst
with nobody around to spoil Harold's vistas
should be beneficial.
And if that doesn't work
I will try dark chocolate
and having a laugh.
Blissful photos. Hoping all calm is now restored. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteI think it's going to take a while!
DeleteBoth porridge and dark chocolate are excellent for high blood pressure. Take your pick.
ReplyDelete(I'm very taken with that egg box affair made out of sand)
Aren't they lovely? They are actually weathered stone.
DeleteOh dear, I'm sorry about that. But I should imagine Sissinghurst would do the trick. (I wish I lived near Sissinghurst, or to be more accurate, I wish Sissinghurst lived near me.)
ReplyDeleteI bring it as close as I can! But then I envy you the lovely child-friendly places you have to visit with the grand children.
DeleteIf you are offered medication and you then develop a persistent, niggling cough, check the name of the meds and if it is Ramipril or anything ending in 'pril' take yourself off it immediately because that causes the cough. Twenty years they have been experimenting with my meds and they still complain that I have high BP. I tell them that they should calm down and accept that it is 'normal for me'. One day they will let me be. Meanwhile, enjoy your lovely images.
ReplyDeleteYes I often wonder why 'norma'l holds such sway over our lives. So far no medication has been offered. I must say that I'd never felt such a tight cuff before. It really hurt and this was not going to have no effect on the result.
DeleteWell your pictures have felt very restorative for me Lucille, so I hope your excursions had some beneficial effects for you too. And I certainly wouldn't wait, eat the dark chocolate now! Given that so many conditions are caused or aggravated by stress, my intention these days is to avoid Drs surgeries and hospitals whenever possible to minimise the chances...
ReplyDeleteMe too. Did a 24 hour test.
ReplyDeleteThen - so sorry - machine didn't record.
My poor arm. Try again next week. Sigh.
