In the pink

Have emerged from under a virus laden cloud

in time for the unfolding of the purple plum blossom,

the earliest of the rhododendrons,

and the magnolias.

New curtains are in the pipeline.

Back in the pink.

  2. While I am stricken with envy for your flush of pink blooms, those sky fields of cloud-furrows have me going all viral.

  5. I came across a recipe for plum blossom ice cream the other day. I know I'll never make it - but doesn't it sound delicious?

    1. It does. I shall try nibbling one next time I pass the tree.

  7. Glad you're over the dreaded almost-everlasting virus. Spring is definitely here, without a flake of snow falling our way, and only a hint of frost on one occasion. I can foresee that one day we'll be planning winter holidays out of sheer nostalgia!

  8. Very lovely, even the moody skies. In fact, The Gardener would be more interested in the moody skies than the flowers!

  9. Fabulous pinkness! Inspired by Mary's mention of plum blossom ice cream I've now discovered plum blossom cordial and (the mouth waters) plum blossom truffles: https://gathervictoria.com/tag/plum-blossoms/
If only I could still eat sugar!

  11. Magnolia is magnificent. Must have been a relief to see Those Clouds melt away.
