Seeing red

Oh my goodness.
This is a trial of one's patience.

I have now managed to copy someone else's last, precious,
but now unsupported, version of iPhoto
onto my computer in a bid to be rid of Photos.
And Hallelujah
it has let me upload from my phone to the computer
and now to upload from the computer to the blog
but not quickly.
Oh no. That would be asking too much.
We must wait and twiddle our thumbs
long enough for the moon to rise and darkness to fall.

  1. Oh Lucille, sorry about all the photo problems.

The reds that you have shared with us are very beautiful.

Maybe the speed of your transfer maneuvers will speed up as new pathways become established?

  2. Well done. I assume that you are talking about your iPhone? I haven't ventured in iCountry, I probably won't either.

    2. That is very kind of you but all I seem to do is read early C20 female writers, knit things, drink wine and look at steam trains.

  4. That is really rather annoying. I read somewhere recently that Photos is much easier to use than iPhotos, never having used the latter I couldn't comment, but I do know that I find Photos really difficult to navigate round and always end up exactly where I don't want to be. As for organising the photos that continues to elude me........

  6. this cautious coward has her photos on the hard drive on my laptop - from camera or cellphone, and I have quietly ignored Photos and Picasa, as I read with silent horror how even The Gurus are battling thru the changes. Their explanations of How to Do It Now mystify me!!

Lucifer? exploding with delight! Again from Great Dixter? I see corners of topiary.

    1. Yes second picture is from Dixter. Well spotted. Unfortunately I had no option with Photos. It came with the upgrade to El Capitan.

  7. Months and months after getting my MacBook Air, over a year of working with my iPhone, and I have to say I'm still not as comfortable with photo management for the blog as I was in my desktop PC. I know that Google (Blogger) and Apple/iPhone have an inimical relationship with each other, but it seems so churlish of both to take that out on us in these incompatible or unwieldy interfaces. . .
