Hurrah! After my first cough free night since last I wrote
I am ready to take on the world.
Let Spring commence.
The sky is blue today and I am always happiest
when the clocks go forward.
Some of us (like Miss Flora Mc Flimsey)
have already re-trimmed our Spring hats.
Oh, to be cough-free. One goes, another arrives immediately afterwards.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, things do feel so much better once the clocks go forward. I love autumn and winter but the perpetual gloom we've had for the past five months or so was beginning to drive me slightly mad.
Always so happy when the clocks change to BST. There seems to be constant debate about whether or not to keep it throughout the year - I wish. Glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteSpring sunrises are so beautiful. Your photographs demonstrate this truth very well.
ReplyDeleteLittle Miss looks adorable in her bonnet. I clearly remember wearing a similar hat ...over 60 years ago. Lovely memory.
xo
The cough has left, I despair of the sneezes ever leaving. Love Miss Flora McFlimsey.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're recovering. I am just at the start of what promises to be a humdinger of a cold. Sigh. Gorgeous photos, that spring light is sensational. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteGood news indeed, let us hope that you remain in the best of health. I must trim my hat, in case I lag behind in the fashion stakes
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to be reminded of 4711, which smells to me of a world where everyone, in the normal course of events, retrims their spring hat.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that cough has gone. That is a wonderfully trimmed hat, mine is still firmly in the cupboard.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has a similarly horrid and long-lasting cough right now, and I'm hoping not to be punished for a slight smugness that I (so far, knock on wood!) haven't got it. . .
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of Miss F McF, the garter-stitch sweater, the bonnet, the little hand working the key . . .precious!
Spring. It will always be my favourite time of year. Now if only the mercury would just nudge up a bit all would be well.
ReplyDeleteHurrah you are better. Hurrah for spring. Hurrah for adorable grandchildren sporting headgear. (I do not have any yet as my eldest is only 16, so I hope that's a way off, but I do have a 5-yr-old niece who is similarly adorable and funny.)
ReplyDeleteO joy - daffodils, better health and a grandchild.
ReplyDeleteNow I know this is not a mouflon hat but did you ever read about little Laura and her mouflon hat? She looked very like this!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I remember Little Laura on television. I will have a search for her and her mouflon hat.
