Clippetty clop

You don't often hear hooves round here
and if you do,
the chances are it will be for one of two reasons,
mounted police
or an old fashioned funeral cortège.

Horsey horsey don't you stop
Just let your feet go clippetty clop
The tail goes swish and the wheels go round
Giddy up, we're homeward bound.

I'll be homeward bound in about a week's time.
Meanwhile,
'Au reservoir!'

  3. We used to say that too: Au reservoir.
A few years ago there was a gentleman who rode his horse through the town nearly every day. He was outfitted like a cowboy!
