I saw the first of the twelve men
who landed on the moon's surface
over 230,000 miles away in 1969,
but I have been at least as moved and impressed
by the landings on the Earth's surface
of each of the thirty-three men
who were trapped
2,300 feet
beneath it.

  2. I think that it was even greater that the miners were brought to safety. It also gives me hope to see the value given to human life by other humans, so often we hear of the opposite.

  3. It was a joy to watch. I loved the fact that one man had the sense of humour to unzip a bag and give out "souvenirs" of pieces of rock from underground as if he had been on holiday. :O)))
