 The sun is out.
So are my dwarf irises.

  1. Oh! That made me realise I left mine behind in Newcastle, in the front garden. Sniff.

  3. How utterly, totally beautiful the first flowers of spring always are, little miracles really, that brighten the grey days. See, your gorgeous photographs have made me come over all lyrical!

  4. Lovely. You've just reminded me what it was I planted - they are just coming out!

  5. I agree with others that the irises are indeed lovely. Our winter is really not at all depressing where I live, but the first spring flowers are always such a welcome sight. Your picture of the irises (I'm thinking more of the lower one) is wonderful. Us observers take the imaging for granted, I think. The placement and lighting of the background and the lighting of the flower must have taken a lot of thought and time to implement - and it has paid off handsomely!

  6. Your pictures are utterly lovely. I have just realised that mine haven't come up this year so I shall have to invest in more.
