Tall Cat pays a festive visit

We were worried because Lost Cat notices appeared
on lamp posts in the neighbourhood
with Tall Cat's picture on them.
His name was Busby!
Impossible to think of him as Busby.

He'd been lost for several weeks they said
and we hadn't seen hide nor hair of him.

I rang the number on the posters
and discovered that this was a relatively new boy on the block
and  despite the uncanny resemblance,
could not be Tall Cat.

And then as if to reassure us,
there he was at the window again,
ready to come in and check out the Christmas tree.

In April of next year he will have been visiting for four years.
It's an odd relationship.
We still don't know his real name, but as Tall Cat
he has fans all over the world.
What would his owners think if they knew?

  2. The Mysterious Tall Cat has a fine sense of dramatic timing. He also clearly has exquisite taste in selecting locations and folks to visit.

His absence from your home has not lessened his photogenic charisma.

Wishing you and yours (and even the not quite your Tall Cat) a very Happy Christmas. xo

    1. He wasn't posing quite as obligingly as usual and the iPhone struggles in poor light but I had to try to catch him as he examined the tree. Happy Christmas Frances. We have reminders of you everywhere!

    1. He was surprisingly cautious. Maybe his owners haven't got a tree. I hope you have a lovely Christmas too.

  8. I think Tall Cat is wondering where you're keeping all the presents!
When he's not with you, he's sleeping up against my front door so that he falls in whenever I open it. Well, it's either him or Busby...
    Happy Christmas Lucille.

  11. Sheep Cat, who lived nearby, featured for a while on my blog. It was not actually his name but it suited him. Alas, he has been no more for some years. Hello Tall Cat and many good wishes for 2017, Lucille.
