  1. Your 'jewels' are so beautiful! Where did you find them... and is that a grass snake?

    1. On the shingly beach near Pett Level. I think it was a slow worm. The grass snakes are bigger.

  2. I'd love the turquoise but might pass on the silver chain , however deliciously slithery !

  3. Lucille, the summer treasures really are gems. What a fine eye you have.

It's so hot and humid here, outdoor excursion require the shady side of the street along with the hope of little breeze. August has finally remembered its seasonal reputation.

  5. well done on a successful hunt. I had plans to paint our wall in 'sea glass' but it is surprisingly difficult to capture in flat dull paint!

  6. That is indeed treasure, although I would have to pass on the 'necklace'. Makes me do a little shiver at the thought.

  7. I haven't seen a slow worm in years, lucky you. Sea glass is so romantic isn't it?

  8. Nice to spot a slow worm, and not because the cats have brought it in.....

  9. I nearly trod on a slow worm last week. It was lying across the path enjoying the sunshine, clearly unaware of our pesky cats. I hope it's tucked away avoiding all the recent rain.
