I should never be left alone

with a bag of lightly salted
Kettles crisps*.
Especially not the sharing kind.

More's the pity.

  1. I think there should be some sort of warning on these sharing bags - 'beware, you will find these irresistable'

  2. So true - not once in our long acquaintance have you offered me a crisp.

  5. I have always been able to resist sweets, pastires and cake, even before being diagnosed coeliac. Crisps are quite another thing. Imagine how hard it is a refuse an offered crisp because the coating has gluten!!!!!

  6. I find middle class crisps are sold in increasingly larger bags these days, which is hardly playing the game. Upper middle class crisps (made of beetroot and parsnip) are packaged in safer quantities. Myself, I prefer the peasant potato.

  7. I can only assume these are highly addictive.

    1. They are, but oddly enough, have no coating of MSG.

  8. I favour the Tyrells bags, beetroot, parsnip and carrot. With those I have to restrict myself to a small saucerful.

  9. At the risk of sounding sad, it's Pringles (sour cream and onion, giant tubes, often BOGOF-ed) that does for me. The only form of self-restraint that works is not to buy any in the first place, never, ever......

  10. Have you tried the ridged ones with salt and pepper? Ooooo...my downfall for several years.
