The Primrose

These used to be under a bay tree,
but now they sit in full sunshine,

looking upward to the Light.

It was with great sadness that I read of the death of
Elspeth Thompson.

  1. Those are beautiful ... are they a perennial?

  2. They look so pretty, I love primroses. Anything here in flower is now under a light covering of snow!

  3. I've just read about Elspeth Thompson. I'm reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. She also suffered with depression and took her own life shortly after publication of the novel. To have such creativity while being in such a dark place is hard to understand. It's very sad.
