what in the world are conkers?!?!
Ah! They are the beautiful seeds of the horse chestnut tree. They fall in hard green prickly cases which usually split on impact and inside there are two shiny brown conkers. They are large and smooth and a vital component of autumn here. Children collect them.... I think I'd better do a post on them! I'll pick some whole ones up on my run today.
Wow!!! They are beautiful! I can't wait to read/see/learn more about them!
